Hi Lovlies!
Let me introduce you to the best eyeshadow palette I have ever owned… ICONIC London, you’ve done it again.
As if their eyebrow cushion didn’t change my life enough, I’m obsessed with their only eyeshadow palette too! The Day to Slay palette launched on the 31st July 2017, and they absolutely nailed it. With the most pigmented shades in a mix of matte, shimmer and glitter. The consistency is really velvety, not too powdery and totally crease-proof.
At £45 for 20, yes, 20, 1.5g shades, I think the palette is exceptional value for money. I was sold on this product as soon as I saw it but whenever I buy something like this, I always work out how much that makes it per item and this works out at just £2.25 a colour. Considering you pay around £16 for 1x 1.5g MAC eyeshadow – you’re getting a bargain.
As always with ICONIC London, the palette is 100% cruelty free. This is what they say about it…
So many of our Baes got in touch wanting us to create an eye shadow pallet – so squad, this one’s for you! Made up of 20 of the most unbelievably beautiful shimmers, mattes and glitters you’ll be spoilt for choice when picking which to use. Our Ultimate Day To Slay Palette is completely, 100% cruelty-free and can be used with a wet brush to create a super-metallic, next level finish. High quality, crease proof, buildable and blend-able….what more do you want!?
Create endless, beautiful looks with these 20 highly pigmented shades. These velvety soft powders include a mixture of mattes, shimmers and glitters for flawless day to night looks.
If you like a neutral-peachy-smokey-golden-bronze-blush look, you will LOVE this palette!
The packaging, ill admit, looks great when you first receive it but through general use and carrying it around it does quickly look a little tatty and the card board material gets dented and dirty almost immediately. This isn’t something that bothers me very much, but its worth noting if you like your products to stay looking good as new throughout their lifespan. The mirror inside the lid is really nice, it’s good quality and doesn’t make you look warped like some palette mirrors do. The size of the mirror means if I’m going somewhere other than my own house to get ready and mirrors are limited, I can do my whole face using the one inside the palette – useful!
Now lets all laugh at me trying to describe each colour…

I mean, I’m not the best at swatching but HAVE YOU SEEN THE PIGMENT ON THESE COLOURS!?!? They are absolutely unreal, such a gorgeous texture and the glitter is so fine they blend super easily.
Im not makeup artist, but I attempted two looks and I’m quite happy with them! The first is a bronze look – for this I used Iconic on the inner corners, In The Nude all over the lid, Ultimate Tan on the crease, a little bit of Deep Soul on the outer corners, and then Bronze Bae and VIP Vibes mixed to glitter it up!
Underneath my bottom lashes I added Deep Soul and Velvet Crush.
The second look I tried was super peachy pink, and then I added more liner to make it more ‘me’. Generally I’m nude/bronze all the way and always wear a liquid eyeliner!
For this I used Bellini all over the lid, Merlot Monday’s on the crease, and Wonderland. I used Girl Boss and Deep Soul blended together underneath my bottom lashes.
(I know my blending sucks)
And thats it! As you can tell I adore this palette and I recommend you all buy it, because its just so dynamic and good quality. Its a YES from me!
Love, Chelsea xxx
