MY TOP 10 BEAUTY PRODUCTS UNDER £10

Hi Lovelies,

Seeing as its FINALLY February and we’re all at that weird period where we’re happy to have FINALLY been paid again, but also vary aware that we’re still broke from the festive period (even though that seems forever ago now), I thought it would be a good time to share the products that I feel are the best you can get for under £10.

All of these products are ones I have used or am currently using, most of them I have rebought numerous times!

  1. Ardell Demi Wispies False Eyelashes

fullsizeoutput_23d2

I looooooove these eyelashes so much! As a rule I am 100% crap at applying false eyelashes, it just isn’t something I can do and when I do, it is exclusively for an occasion. I have fairly longish eyelashes anyway, and I don’t feel like I can carry off heavy eyelashes (they make me look quite drag). The reason I love the Ardell Demi Wispies is because they don’t completely dominate your makeup, they are like the best version of natural eyelashes possible, non shiny, a mix of lengths and the band is so delicate and flexible they are by far the easiest lashes I have ever applied. At £5.49 including lash glue, how can you say no?

Ardell Demi Wispies, Black False Eyelashes. £5.49 from Boots (at the time of writing this post the eyelashes are on a special offer of £4.49)

2. NYX Matte Liquid Liner, Black

As somebody who used to wear liquid eyeliner every single day I can safely say that the NYX Matte Liquid Liner is the best I have EVER used. It took me a little longer than usual to get the technique down, this liner was the first I had used where the applicator is a fine tipped brush rather than a felt tip nib. You definitely need a steady hand and I think its easier to apply when you’ve already done your mascara (and let it dry), but the effect you get once it dries down is well worth the effort. Super deep black with a matte finish – gorgeous. I wrote a full review on this eyeliner which you can read here.

3. LUSH Honey Lip Scrub

Natural and tasty… is this a treat or a lip scrub? Made with caster sugar, honey and vegan white chocolate amongst other fab ingredients, this lip scrub is full of goodness and tastes as nice as it feels! I have quite dry lips but have started wearing lipsticks more in recent years and absolutely hate how it looks when you have dry lips with matte lipstick over the top… not nice. The LUSH Honey Lip Scrub is perfect for prepping your lips ready for lipstick or to generally have the smoothest lips in the room. It also lasts FOREVER. This one was bought for me as a birthday present but I bought one for my sister too because I love mine so much!

4. RIMMEL Wake Me Up Foundation

IMG_5064

Okay so mine is battered and bruised because its been stuck in a draw for a while since I stocked up on so many other foundations but in terms of the £10 bench mark this one is the best I have! There is actually a little back story to how I ended up with this, when I worked in retail at Victoria’s Secret I was once so, so hungover and when I went on my lunch break I realised that I looked even worse than I felt, so I ran off to Boots and picked up the first foundation that I saw, slapped it on my face and went to the shop floor. From then onwards I had so many comments about how nice my skin looked but I just figured it was just because of the contrast between how shit I looked before my break. I carried on wearing the foundation after that day and it really did look so bright and hydrating and I absolutely fell in love with the dewy, fresh finish – well worth the hungover purchase!

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation, £5.99

5. Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer

Would it even be a high street faves post without this little gem? This concealer is so, so good! When I bought my first tube of this I was surprised how fast it finished considering how much seems to be in the tube when you first use it, but baring in mind you only have 3.4ml to play with, you are still getting amazing value for money! Full coverage, a range of colours and lasts all day – you just cannot get a better product for such good value for money! I do love my Nars concealers but this is definitely the best concealer for under a tenner. I wrote a full review on the Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer here.

6. Maybelline Colossal Mascara

IMG_5066

As of recent I have been obsessed with Hourglass and Dior mascara’s, however, this Maybelline mascara is definitely a front runner! This used to be my absolute go to and I wouldn’t hesitate to re-introduce the Maybelline Colossal Mascara to my daily routine again. Intense black, as well as being lengthening and thickening in all the right places. I love the big fluffy brush on this mascara, it can be a little much for the bottom lashes but on the top lashes you can get a really good false lash effect.

7. Revolution Bake & Finish Powder

IMG_5062

Okay, so I am eager to try the Fenty loose powder, but until I have my verdict on that product then you can just FORGET any other loose powder for setting! Of all the high end and high street loose powders I have tried this is my absolute fave! I use this every day, no matter how much or little concealer I am using I will ALWAYS set it with this. It has lasted so long and I haven’t even made a dent! I think the best way to use it is to tip a bit into the lid and I just tap my brush in from there. This does come in a range of shades but I like the white translucent version. You can read my full review on this here.

8. Barry M Hi Shine Gelly Nail Varnish

fullsizeoutput_23d5

Everybody knows that Barry M is the king of nail varnish. I have used everything from Barry M to Tom Ford and when you compare colour and wear time then Barry M always comes out on top. Of all of their nail varnishes this range is definitely my favourite, the Barry M Hi Shine Gelly nail varnish is as shiny as you can get without using an LED light and the wear is exceptional. Its one of those products that is so consistently good that you almost forgot to recommend it to everyone you know!

9. Revolution Strobe Highlighter

fullsizeoutput_23d8

fullsizeoutput_23d9

Apologies for the absolute state that this highlighter is in… It is safe to say that since I own around 15 highlighters (if not more) I did forget about this one a little bit, and its been living in the bottom of and old make-up bag! But before I started really investing in highlighters this was one of the first I owned. It isn’t for the faint hearted! I would say less is more, when applying with a brush make sure you start light and then build up. The Revolution Strobe Highlighter is HIGHLY pigmented and if you use a little too much its easy to look like a tin man. However, when you use this lightly you will achieve the loveliest sun kissed look. If I was buying this again I would go for one of the more golden shades such as this one here, but the one I’ve linked elsewhere is the exact colors pictured above, Golden Lights.

 10. Palmers Cocoa Butter Body Lotion

fullsizeoutput_23d1

As far as moisturisers go I absolutely cannot think of a better one than Palmers Cocoa Butter. I left this one until last because its just so reliable but SO underrated. I used to take my makeup off with this moisturiser by simply covering my face with it and rubbing a cotton wool pad in! It definitely worked, and my skin was smooth as hell but lord knows my pores were just about as blocked as they can get! I love the pump version because I always feel like the normal bottle still has loads in even when I can’t squeeze any more out, where as this one you can take out the pump and have a rummage around when it comes to an end! Super moisturising with the most heavenly smell and the best value for money – I will never stop using Palmers Cocoa Butter.

Palmers Cocoa Butter Pump Body Lotion, £3.99 from Boots.

Love, Chelsea xxxxx

Let me know in the comments if you have any of the products mentioned above or if you have any top picks for under £10!
