MARIO BADESCU GLYCOLIC FOAMING CLEANSER

Hi Lovelies,

If you’re a regular reader of my blog you might have gathered by now that I am a big fan of Mario Badescu skin care products. If you love good quality skin care that’s in it for the long run I would definitely recommend! We’re talking high quality, with big results.

For the longest time I was using the Mario Badescu Acne Facial Cleanser, and when I say ‘the longest time’, I don’t mean because I’m was a repeat buyer, I mean because it just lasts sooooo long! The same seems to be true for the Mario Badescu Glycolic Foaming Cleanser too! A little bit goes a long way.

So, why is the Mario Badescu Glycolic Foaming Cleanser so good? Glycolic acid is an amazing ingredient, like a super food for your skin. When used in skin care glycolic acid gently breaks down the dead skin cells on the top layer of your skin, by breaking these down you’re left with brighter, fresher looking skin. The removal of dead skin cells also helps to promote cell turn over and reduce the appearance of skin discoloration, scarring, fine lines and wrinkles. This pretty much goes hand in hand with less spots too, if your skin cells are healthy and happy then naturally, you don’t tend to see as many breakouts coming up and ruining your day.

This cleanser wont do a great job of getting rid of your make up in the first instance, but it will help to treat skin concerns once your makeup is already off, as well as ridding your skin of the last traces of makeup. I use my Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Cleanser to remove makeup, and then three times a week I follow up with the Mario Badescu Glycolic Foaming Cleanser to treat my skin concerns.

How to use it? Remove make up, dampen face with warm water and squeeze a pea sized amount onto your fingers, AND I MEAN PEA SIZE! If you go crazy you will regret it, take it from somebody who knows! Massage into your skin using circular motions for around 40 seconds – 1 min, and then wash off. I like to make a mess by cupping water into my hands and splashing my face like I’m in a Neutrogena advert. Adding the extra water makes the formula super foamy, which is great, but at this point I would definitely advise NOT breathing in through your nose! I don’t know what it is, but when it gets into your nose it isn’t very nice, and doesn’t wear off for a good 5 mins or so (this is why you don’t use more than a pea sized amount!). If you’ve ever been to a foam party and breathed in the bubbles it’s a similar sensation and one I would urge you to avoid!

Once the cleanser is all washed off pat your face dry and thats it! It leaves your skin feeling so nice and clean. I like to follow up with the rest of my skin care routine, but at the very least I would recommend using a moisturiser after cleansing with the Mario Badescu Glycolic Foaming Cleanser, because it does leave the skin feeling very slightly tight. Not in an uncomfortable way, just in a clean way.

Since using the Mario Badescu Foaming Cleanser I have defiantly seen a different in my skin! Break outs are minimal even when switching between my other products fairly regularly. Overall my skin looks much brighter and the skin tone itself is the most even it has ever been. I have suffered with pigmentation around my cheeks before and general blotchiness but I don’t have any of that really anymore! To the point where instead of wearing foundation daily I can get away with some colour correcting moisturiser and a bit of concealer! Never, ever did I think I would see the day that would happen!

I have been using the Mario Badescu Foaming Cleanser since December and I think it’s a great product, and great value for money considering the results I am seeing and also how long the cleanser is lasting! You need such a small amount that you can really get months and months of use out of one bottle.

You can buy the Mario Badescu Glycolic Foaming Cleanser for £14.00 from Beauty Bay

Love, Chelsea xxxx
