Hi, Lovlies!
So, after EVERYONE telling me that I need to buy the Mario Badescu drying lotion I finally made the purchase the day after I read Brooke Clarke‘s blog post on her top 3 spot treatments… and I’m so glad I did!
I have tried so, so many quick fix lotions and potions for spots and honestly, barely any of them have worked. Infact if I smell another t-tree spot treatment I think I would throw it against a wall! But we have a savior, the Mario Badescu drying lotion WORKS. It dries like a splodge of pale pink paint on your face, but it gets rid of spots quicker than anything I have ever tried before, therefore it can look however it wants on face while I’m asleep!
The drying lotions is supposed to be best used on white heads – spots that have already come to the surface and that you’re trying not to squeeze! However I have used the lotion on the places I can see a spot under the surface that will soon be trying to break free, and I really find it works to make those disappear too. I don’t really know how that works… maybe its just been luck as the reason its supposed to be used on white heads is to do as it says in the name, to DRY them up! Im interested in trying the Drying cream as apparently thats amazing for under the surface spots, as I’ve mentioned before I’m having a bit of a problem with those on my cheeks/jaw at the moment and trying to clear them up any which way that I can.
The Mario Badescu drying lotion features ingredients such as salicylic acid, sulfur and zine oxide – all of which will draw out the impurities from the whiteheads and keep your skin nice and clean. It is very heavily advised that you do NOT shake the bottle! If you order this item online you might receive it already shaken, don’t worry! Just place the bottle on a flat surface for a few hours you will find that a pale pink sediment settles at the bottom of the bottle with a clear liquid filling the rest of the space – this is how you should try to keep your bottle! The treatment works best when you dip a q-tip into the pink sediment in the bottom and dab it directly onto your spot after cleansing, toning and moisturising – don’t rub it in – just leave it to dry and wash it off in the morning. Simples.
This bottle will last you absolutely ages but its shelf life is 24 months once its opened, and if you some how are left with just the clear liquid and no pink sediment or vise versa then its time for a new bottle! The drying lotion needs two to tango and one wont work without the other!
I would 100% recommend this product to anyone, and if you’re one of those people (like me) who can’t help but squeeze a spot then this will help you avoid that. Both because it covers the spot in a pink paint like splodge and because it gets rid of spots SO fast, we’re talking overnight, that you wont have chance to squeeze anything anyway.
I bought mine from Harvey Nichols, 29ml £16.00 and I already know that this is going to be something I can’t live without…worth the hype!
Love, Chelsea xxx

December 18, 2017 at 21:13I was so skeptical at first and just didn’t believe it could be as good as everyone said it was but I have done a full 180 and now its all I recommend! Since I’ve been so convinced by this I now also want the acne facial cleanser, almond and honey face scrub, silver powder and seaweed cleansing lotion… great for my face, not for my bank account!

March 20, 2018 at 18:28It’s absolutely amazing, I use it mostly on angry red spots but it’s fabulous for everything! Their silver powder is a great product to use along side a blackhead or pore treatment to prevent them coming back again too! Xxx
