MARIO BADESCU – SEAWEED CLEANSING LOTION

February 4, 2018

Hi Lovlies!

If you haven’t noticed, I did a freakin’ HAUL on Mario Basescu products! So here is another product by them that I have been using the last few weeks! I wanted to give all the items I bought a chance to work so I could see how I like them before I wrote a review on them, and now I’ve done that I’m ready to roll out the reviews one after another before ending with how I use them all as one complete skin care routine!

So here we go! Even though the Mario Badescu seaweed cleansing lotion is called a ‘lotion’, its actually supposed to be used after cleansing as a sort of cleanser/toner combination product. Once you have removed your makeup and cleansed, you’re ready to whip this out to hydrate and nourish your skin. The seaweed cleansing lotion also gives an enhanced cleansing effect, removing any oil, dirt or impurities without over drying your skin, leaving you with a refreshed complexion.

The key ingredients in the cleansing lotion are…

  • Aloe Vera – to soothe, nourish and hydrate your skin. Aloe Vera is also a really great anti-inflammatory so will calm down any angry spots you might have!
  • Witch Hazel – another fab anti-inflammatory ingredient, it will remove excess oil, reduce redness, and cleanse/remove dirt etc. Witch Hazel has also been found to be good for speeding up the healing of scars and infection…bye bye spots!
  • Bladderwrack – Bladderwrack is a type of seaweed that you will find in skin care. Bladderwrack has been found to reverse the signs of aging by improving skin tone, texture, elasticity and help detoxify the skin. Bladderwrack’s benefits are quite extensive and it will also nourish, hydrate, reduce redness, cleanse and soften your skin. It soothes itchiness and any discomfort that can come with dryness, acne or eczema.

Fancy!

I use this morning and night after cleansing, by pouring a little onto a cotton ball and sweepingΒ over by face from the middle, outwards. When I’m done, my skin feels super clean.. seeing as I’ve pretty much triple cleansed though, I suppose it should!

I also use this to remove my Mario Badescu silver powder, which I wrote about here!

According to Mario Badescu this is their most universal toner, and is ideal for combination or dry skin.

You can purchase the Mario Badescu Seaweed Cleansing Lotion here for Β£14

MY COMPLETE 10 PART SKIN CARE ROUTINE! – CHELSEA'S GUIDE
    March 2, 2018 at 10:52 pm

[…] I got this because it was suggested to use in conjunction with the Acne Facial Cleanser. On the days you aren’t exfoliating or using silver powder you’re supposed to cleanse and then use this cleansing lotion afterwards, before toner, as well as on a morning and night. On days I use the Silver Powder I use this to actually remove the powder. In all honesty, I don’t have a clue what this is reallllyyy doing for my skin that all my other products aren’t. I feel like this is probably more for someone who has perfect skin and just needs a light cleanser on a morning and night, and nothing more. Unfortunately, my skin isn’t like that and I have products with such amazing ingredients that this isn’t just that necessary for my routine. I’ve still added this in because I’m still using it and probably will until its empty – But I wont be repurchasing. Full review here! […]
