Lets get straight into it, I have been looking at Mophe palettes for a good few years now. I never bought one because I’ve always had other palettes in my collection that I was happy with, I didn’t NEED another one. Any that I did buy, were ones I saw in person and felt like I couldn’t live without. Since I had never seen a Morphe palette in person, I just never committed to the brand very much. Until, literally less than a week ago a colleague at work had the most amazing eyeshadow colour on, when I asked her what it was and she told me it was from the Morphe 350 palette, that was it. I ordered it the very same night!
A little bit about the brand – Morphe is a fairly new brand, it launched in 2008 but its created quite a stir. Morphe has proved that you don’t need to pay the high end prices to get high end quality. They are so, so affordable with the most amazing quality products. They started with brushes and then went on to colour,
I ordered my palette from Beautybay.com, but the Morphe website also stops to the UK as well as loaaaaads of other countries! Beauty Bay ships to the UK for free though, so thats always a plus!
Although I already knew which palette I was getting through recommendation, there are A LOT of choices! The 350 is a mix of matte and shimmer shades, but there is also 350M (all mattes), 350S (all shimmer) and 3502 (a new version of the original with a warmer colour choice, in matte and shimmer shades). From my experience I am actually amazed at how accurate the photos are to the palette. I often avoid buying makeup online because the colors that arrive can be totally different to how they look on the website, but Morphe have got it absolutely spot on! I’ve made a bit of a list of the palettes I want now… including the 3502!
So, for £23 you get 35 gorgeous colours, all incredible in quality, pigment and blendability. Im actually so shocked at how fabulous it is!
I was considering leaving cushions underneath the door on the day of delivery, I was scared of it coming though the letter box and smashing on the floor. Im not sure about when its delivered direct from Morphe, but Beauty Bay required a signature, so I didn’t have to worry about it coming through the letter box when I wasn’t home in the end! I was impressed by the delivery packaging to be honest, even if it had fit through the letter box there is no way the eyeshadows would have been damaged, bubble wrap on bubble wrap!
The packaging of the palette itself is fine, it isn’t impressive or disappointing. Its just an average black plastic palette, no mirror, but at £23 for 35 colours, It isn’t the packaging you’re buying, its the quality of those powerhouse eyeshadows. I think if I dropped the palette I would have a few smashed pans, just because the plastic the palette is made with is so light weight but I will just try to be careful!
I can’t find anywhere the list of colour names, but I took photos for you all so you can see them anyway! BRING ON THE SWATCHES. I went left to right, per row. The first image is without flash, and the second is with!
The eyeshadows themselves are amazing, blend so easily, super pigmented even without a wet brush, but HIGHLY pigmented with. They don’t sprinkle all over your cheeks (always a winner!) and they both last well and remove very well! Im now hooked and will be buying more palettes… I think I NEED the Morphe x Bretman highlighting palette before anything else!!!
