I’ve just returned back from Croatia and finally getting back into the swing of things, going back to work, finishing off the last of the holiday washing etc! Summer is just around the corner and I love nothing more than the warm, long days filled with bbq’s and Aperol spritz, but I have to have my dose of beauty in there too! Im a summer baby, my birthday is July 5th and literally love having a summer birthday! Before I went away I was concentrating on getting some content finished and ready to post while I was away, tying loose ends up at work, and general packing and getting Jack and I sorted, so I wasn’t really buying any little luxuries for myself. Now I’m back and have had 10 days in the sun to scroll through Instagram and look at all my fave beauty sites, I’ve racked up quite the wish list! So I thought, what better time to share it with spring coming to an end and summer/my birthday right round the corner?
ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS | AMREZY HIGHLIGHTER
This highlighter isn’t super new, as I’m sure many of you are well aware! But new enough for it still to be pretty exclusive. It launched on 14th February 2018, on the Anastasia Beverly Hills website – the perfect valentines gift! At the moment it is sold out on the ABH website but you can buy it on the Cult Beauty website, limited to 1 unit per customer! I love everything about the look of this highlighter! I love the way that the product is set in a wave design, so you can see the glisten of the highlighter at any angle. The outer packaging itself is beautiful, black and rose gold with tiny little stars, gorgeous! And the pigment? Well, every single post I have seen on this product has had the most amazing finish, as a highlighter addict this is #1 on my wishlist!

SOL DE JANEIRO | BRAZILIAN BUM BUM CREAM
I hadn’t heard about Sol de Janeiro or their famous Bum Bum cream until we started stocking it at work, once I looked it up on the internet I was shocked! HOW had I managed to never hear of this brand or product? It is literally EVERYWHERE. The smell of this cream is absolutely insane. It is sooo creamy and smells coconut/nutty/vanilla-ry, absolutely irresistible. Sol de Janeiro also have a body mist that has the exact same smell, perfect for if your skin is sensitive with creams but you like the smell! If you aren’t a fan of body products that are scented – this will most likely be too scented for you, it is quite strong but I really like it, I don’t think it smells too ‘fake’.
If the smell alone isn’t enough to sell it to you, the feel of the moisturiser and the promised results might do! It is thick enough to soak into the skin and make you feel truly nourished, but light enough that it doesn’t leave that horrible, heavy, greasy feel on your hands that you can’t quite get rid of… if you know that feeling then you will know its unbearable and will avoid it at all costs! You don’t need to worry about that here, it doesn’t exist! I have only tried a little bit of a tester of this on my arm but it was enough to sell it to me. What makes the Bum Bum cream different to other moisturisers is the ingredients. Caffein used in beauty products is something that has been growing in the past few years, hence all the coffee scrub brands that have been popping up. Sol de Janeiro use guarana, a fruit that contains one of the most potent forms of caffein that you can get, nearly 5 times more than coffee contains!
Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum cream promises to stimulate circulation, smooth, tone and boost the skin. This is probably a purchase I should have bought before my holiday but its never too late! It isn’t just to be used on your ‘bum bum’ too, you can use it all over your body. The Bum Bum cream comes in two sizes, 75ml £18, or 240ml £44. You can buy it from a number of retailers including Cult Beauty, Harvey Nichols and Feel Unique
HIGLOW HIGH INTENSITY | RADIANCE GLOW CREAM
I have been wanting a body shimmer product for some time, and what better time to get one than now? I’ve come back from my holiday with a natural tan I find products like this amazing to just intensify and revitalize your tan for days/nights out. The last body shimmer item I bought was years ago, it was the Victoria’s Secret PINK luminous body bronzer, its discontinued now and selling for CRAZY amounts online (I bought it for £15). I still have a little left but its definitely time for a newbie.
I first saw this used in a photo of Sarah Ashcroft and was like ‘WHAT IS THAT GLOW?!’ I’ll insert the photo below, she mentioned the product in the comments on Instagram and in one of her YouTube videos, and from then I was OBSESSED. But then Sol de Janeiro also brought out a ‘glow oil‘ and I was torn between which I wanted. I dont need two…. or maybe I do, but not right now! I’ve finally decided to stick with the one I initially fell for, the HIGlow, mainly because I like the idea of a cream rather than an oil – they are generally just less mess, less likely to ruin clothes, and less likely to cause me to breakout on my chest. I find whenever I use an oil on my chest, whether its a tanning oil or something else, I tend to come out in little spots…. kinda defeats the object of having a glowing décolletage when its covered in little pimples!
The HIGlow is supposed to leave you with a hydrated and illuminated glow on your skin and is suitable to use on your décolletage, legs, arms, anywhere! This product also won a gold award in the 2017 Pure Beauty Awards.

THE ORDINARY | AHA 30% + BHA 2% PEELING SOLUTION
Im pretty into acids at the moment, I find it really interesting how all the different acids have different effects on the skin. Long story short, AHA’s (alpha hydroxy acids) work on the top layer of your skin, exfoliating away the bonds between dead skin cells, reducing fine lines, wrinkles, scars, dark spots and improving the firmness, texture and tone. leaving you with a smooth surface. Now for BHA (beta hydroxy acid), there is only one BHA which is Salicylic acid. This will also work away at your dead skin cells, reduce fine lines and improve firmness, texture and tone, but because it’s oil-soluble, it can penetrate deep into the pores, below the skins surface where AHA’s wont reach. Salicylic acid will break down sebum in the pores (the waxy horrible stuff that comes out of blackheads) and reduce oiliness, so is super good blackheads, blemishes, and enlarged pores.
SO, combining AHA’S AND BHA can only work wonders, tackling the top layers of the skin as well as deeper into the pores all at once. Two birds, one stone and all that. The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution is a 10 minute exfoliating facial. It is only recommended if you have used products containing acids before, if you go straight for this as your first time exposing your skin to acids you may have a reaction to the product. I have been using the Mario Badescu Acne Facial Cleanser (containing BHA) and the Pixi Glow Tonic (containing AHA’s), among other products containing acids for some months now so I’m confident I will be okay with this peeling solution. You can read my review for the Mario Badescu Facial Cleanser here, and my review on the Pixi Glow Tonic here.
The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution is only £6.50!
SUNDAY RILEY | LUNA SLEEPING NIGHT OIL
I have been such a massive fan of the Sunday Riley CEO Rapid Flash Brightening Serum (which I haven’t been able to find since unpacking!) that when a colleague recommended their Luna Sleeping Oil to me I was immediately interested. I have never used a night oil, or any other type of night time specific skin care before, so its new territory to me! From reading up on numerous blog posts and websites it seems by all accounts that this oil is a miracle in a bottle. It works on pretty much everything, all at once, and while you’re sleeping… what could be easier? It’s packed with retinoids too, which stimulate the production of new skin cells – winning!
This is what Cult Beauty say about the Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Oil;
Starring retinol and blue tansy – a powerfully skin-soothing, anti-inflammatory extract that reduces redness and helps to calm signs of skin stress – Sunday Riley’s Luna Sleeping Night Oil corrects and anti-ages; tackling all-too-common issues such as eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, rosacea and acne, while counteracting the ravages wrought by oxidative stress. An incredible night treatment for all skin types – especially dry, dehydrated, confused and mature – think of this as a stint in skin-rehab; it works hard to reverse the day’s damage and neutralise free radicals, so you wake to a beautifully smooth, ‘plumped’ and luminous-looking complexion. Sunday Riley has harnessed her native, North American botanicals to create a range of potent anti-ageing products. Marrying traditional skin care ingredients with hi-tech processes, this incredible, bestselling range is beloved by top beauty bloggers, editors and celebrities – Gwyneth Paltrow, Helen Mirren and Victoria Beckham are just some of Sunday’s age-defying, A-list devotees.

MORPHE | 3502 35 COLOUR SECOND NATURE EYESHADOW PALETTE
I already have the Morphe 350 palette which I reviewed here and I am IN LOVE with! It was suggested to me through recommendation and I never looked back. This is my first and only Morphe product and now I neeeeeeed more in my life! I was so blown away with the quality of the product and the intensity, and blendability of the eyeshadows. As soon as I finished making my purchase of the 350 palette I saw the 3502 and have wanted it ever since. It. Is. So. Perfect. And its only £23 for 35 colours, need I say more?
Morphe 3502 Palette £23 on Beauty Bay
MORPHE | BRETMAN ROCK BABE IN PARADISE HIGHLIGHTER PALETTE & FAN BRUSH
Yeah, I know, this is the second highlighter on my wishlist, but I’m obsessed with highlighters, Morphe, and Bretman Rock so this just comes with the package. As soon as I saw this all over Instagram I was very intrigued! I love all of the shades in the highlighters, the lightest shade reminds me of Albatross by Nars which was my first powder highlighter and will always be an old fave, and the rest just look too beautiful to say no to! The fan brush I have at the moment is absolutely shocking too – it was an eBay purchase… when will I learn? so the fact this palette comes with its own fan brush is also a nice perk!
Morphe Bretman Rock Babe In Paradise Highlighter Palette & Fan Brush is available here for £29 from Beauty Bay
MORPHE | 681 18 PIECE SABLE BRUSH SET
As I’m getting more experimental with my makeup I’m finding that the bushes I have at the moment are getting worn a lot quicker. Some of the older ones aren’t cleaning as well as they used to, and if I’m doing a look with a few different colours of eyeshadow I’m finding myself cleaning my brushes as I’m going along so I can properly blend etc, basically, I need some more brushes in my collection sharpish! As I was looking on Beauty Bay while I was away and got lost in the Morphe collection (I mean, this is the 3rd Morphe item on my wishlist!) I saw this brush set which I think is amazing value for money. I haven’t had any Morphe brushes before but if the quality of their shadows are anything to go by I’m willing to give them a go! Im no pro, I’m literally just learning really so I don’t want to be spending the earth on brushes, its not like I’m using them on anyone else but myself, so this set seems like the perfect start for me.
This is what the set contains (taken from the Beauty Bay description);

CLINIQUE | TAKE THE DAY OFF CLEANSING BALM
Don’t get my wrong, I still love my trusty Garnier Micellar Water, but sometimes I feel like I want something thats more gentle, but just as effective. I’ve seen this product used, reviewed and featured literally EVERYWHERE! Most recently in a Patricia Bright YouTube video and after much consideration, I think its finally time for me to use a cleansing balm. I’ve never used a cleansing balm before, I’ve used cleansing wipes, water, wash, foam, milk, oil and gel balm, but never a balm. This one promises to dissolve stubborn eye and face makeup, rinses off easily and leaved your skin feeling nourished, not stripped, but not oily either. Originally I wanted to try the Sunday Riley Blue Moon Tranquility Cleansing Balm, but at £46 compared to Clinique’s £24, I thought it might be best to try the cheaper and better reviewed product first, to see if I even like using a balm.
Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm £24
ICONIC LONDON | ORIGINAL ILLIMUNATOR
I’ve been putting off buying this for agggggessss and I can’t even tell you why. I think its because even though its amazing, I’m so used to using powder highlighters, and I have more than enough of them in my collection, that its just never made it to the priority list. Well, enough is enough, this Iconic illuminator finally needs my love! We sell this at work and I’m forever swatching it and making a mental note to buy it so yeah – now I need to actually do it. The staying powder is ridiculously good, the packaging is great, I love the pipette feature, and the pigment is spot on. It can be used under neither foundation to give your whole look a glow right from the base, or it can be used over the top as a highlighter, orrrr mixed in with your foundation for a super glowy finish.
Also im a massive Iconic fan and just need the whole collection! The eyeshadow palette which I reviewed here is amazing, and I can’t live without their eyebrow cushion, also reviewed – here!
Iconic Illuminator in colour Original £30
ICONIC LONDON | PREP-SET-GLOW
The Iconic London Prep-Set-Glow launched on 29th March 2017, so this one is still really quite new! To my knowledge it has sold out twice on their website and is just GORGEOUS. It looks like they have basically mixed their illuminators into a setting spray, to give you a gorgeous dewy mist. Iconic describe it as a hydrating mist that can be used before makeup as prep, after makeup to set, or all on its own for a glow. And its 100% Vegan! And its not just a pretty face! The formula contains cucumber, chamomile, antioxidants, green tea and vitamin E. These ingredients all help to condition your skin and leave you looking revitalized and glowing. It comes in two shades, Original and Glow. I think I would get glow for more intensity. Make sure you watch the videos of this product on their Instagram – its amazing!
Iconic London Prep-Set-Glow £18.50
AND THATS FINALLY THE END OF MY LIST!
