I always really enjoy reading ’empties’ posts, mostly because I’m nosey! I like to see what people are using and what the final thoughts are. Ive been wanting to do my own for bloody ages but it turns out I barely ever finish anything! I tend go between different brands of same product constantly, so it takes me ages to get to the end of anything. But! I have done it! And I’m also making a conscious effort to use one item from start to finish instead of chopping and changing every few days. I have so many products at the moment I think Jack may start throwing some bits away if I don’t use them up before I buy more!
So, theres only a few bits here but its better than nothing right!
GARNIER MICELLAR WATER
These two bottles are from the past 3 months I think, I managed to get through two bottles of this before I finished anything else to write about! I swear my micellar water, I was late to the party and only started using it just over a year ago but it really works for my skin, and removes all my mascara and eye makeup super fast and gently. I used to use it for my whole face, and then cleanse afterwards but I’ve started using it just for my eye make-up now, then my DHC cleansing oil for my face (I reviewed this here), and then a cleanser for my skin. Now I have started doing this I’m not using nearly as much micellar water or doc cleansing oil so its a win/win. 100% recommend and I’ve already re-purchased!
You can buy it here from Superdrug for just £3.29 (price at time of posting)
ESPA BERGAMOT AND JASMINE BODY LOTION
Im really sad that I have come to the end of this bottle! It smells sooooo good that its easy to blast through a bottle in no time at all. I reviewed this a while ago in my ‘Daily Essentials’ post which you can read here. I will be repurchasing this eventually, but I want to try and use up a few other moisturisers before I do. I mentioned this in my review, but it is the only moisturiser that I find completely stops my legs itching! I have insanely itchy legs, especially my shins. Its to the point where my legs are covered in little marks from them bleeding from scratching them! So because of this a good, soothing moisturiser is essential to me. At the moment I’m back to using a prescribed moisturiser, but I don’t think it’s as effective as Espa’s.
You can buy it here from the ESPA website for £21
ESTEE LAUDER DOUBLE WEAR CONCEALER
Yes, I love this! Again, really sad that I have finished this! I really, really want to try the Nars radiant creamy concealer, Tarte’s shape tape concealer and the Laura Mercier flawless fusion concealer, but when you know a product works for you I find it so hard to choose between playing it safe or trying something new! Obviously the Nars and Tarte concealers are cult favorites so I doubt I would be disappointed, and from the reviews I have read so far on the Laura Mercier one things are looking good there too! But the Estee Lauder one really did just work. So reliable, I knew it would fix any amount of dark circles I woke up with! I was really shocked by this concealer because i didn’t get on with the double wear foundation. It was a bit too heavy and dry for me, I found it really difficult to apply properly because I had to work so quickly before it set… but maybe I need to give that another chance too? I reviewed this concealer in a post about my base favourites here.
Either way, the concealer is a winner and I’m sure I will be re-purchasing eventually, but I want to try some other brands first! The only, ONLY, niggle that I had with the product was the same thing that seems to happen to all concealers in this type of packaging, the wand doesn’t reach the bottom of the tube. So you loose out on the last bit of product, so annoying when you didn’t realise how close you were to the end, don’t have a back up and NEED THAT LAST BIT!!!

CLINIQUE TAKE THE DAY OFF MAKEUP REMOVER FOR LIDS, LASHES & LIPS
When I was unpacking a few weeks ago I came across a Clinique gift with purchase I had, and inside was this handy deluxe sample size of their lids, lashes and lips makeup remover. As I mentioned earlier, I have started using the Garnier micellar water only to remove my eye makeup, and then DHC cleansing oil for the rest. So, seeing as this is only supposed to be for the eyes/lips and not the face I thought id give it a go! I’ll give it this, it does remove your mascara super fast and thoroughly, depending how much makeup I was wearing I had to use between 1-2 cotton pads for both eyes, never any more which is good. Nothing worse than going through loads of product and cotton pads! The quicker I can get my makeup off before bed, the better. Personally, I found the formula to be too oily/greasy for me. I know its the oil, or whatever ingredient it is, that is lifting the eye makeup off so well, but personally it was a little much for my skin. But, its super gentle, non stinging, and didn’t irritate my eyes even when I was removing my makeup with my contact lenses still in (oops). So thats a winner! For me, it isn’t something I’m going to be purchasing, I am micellar loyal!
You can but the Clinique makeup remover here for £17.50 – almost all of the reviews on the website are amazing!
DIOR ADDICT IT-LASH MASCARA
I saved the best until last! I tend to find it really hard to find a good mascara that does everything I want in one product. For years I have used one mascara to separate and lengthen my lashes, another for product and to coat the lashes, and then I go back to the first one to separate again – guys – the Dior it-lash does it all! I used to hate plastic mascara wants and preferred the fluffy type, but this wand is amazing, and even the tip is spiked which I love for the inner and outer corner lashes. The black colour is really, really black so you don’t need to risk going outdoors and your lashes being a funny dark grey colour… please don’t say its only me who has experienced that?! It wears really well, doesn’t flake off, look crispy or sprinkle bits of crap on your face – genuinely, I couldn’t recommend this enough! I will be repurchasing this, now I’ve finally found a mascara that does it all and doesn’t dry up within a week I’m not letting go!
You can buy the Dior mascara here for £25.50
