Hi Lovelies!
Lets just start with this, if you have clicked on this post and don’t know who ‘mmmmitchel’ is, you need to go away, search him on Instagram, have a scroll, and then come back to this post! I started following mmmmitchel on Instagram ages ago, and one of the things that always struck me (apart from every single bit of amazing work he does) was how perfectly black the liquid liner looked every single time. We are talking the deepest blackest black I have ever seen in an eyeliner, ever.
Finally I saw a post from mmmmitchel where he tagged the liner, and guess what I did? I went straight into NYX and bought it. The liner is only £7 (YAAAS) and you can buy it online here.
The applicator is different to what I thought it would be. I have always liked a pointed felt applicator, this one is like the smallest little brush. For that reason I really didn’t think I would get on with it. When I have used brush liquid liners before they have always been really flimsy, easy to make a mistake, and if you put the smallest amount of pressure in the wrong place, thats it, you get the bristles going everywhere and black stroke marks all over your eyes! This applicator is remarkably easy to handle!
I used to use liquid liner every single day, but I started using brown eyeshadow and a brush a few months back instead, purely because it saved time, and meant that when I went on a night out my makeup looked different to my day time makeup. I thought that using a new liner after a while would be difficult, but the ease of this is insane! The liner is so black and matte that a small mistake could easily ruin any eyeshadow you might have done, but I honestly think anyone could use this product.
From the Instagram photos I had seen using this product to how it looked in real life, it really lived up to its reputation! The brush liner meant that you could have the most precise detail with insane impact. And using a matte liner against a shimmer eyeshadow creates massive drama!
For this look I used the NYX matte liquid liner £7 and the Iconic ‘day to slay’ eyeshadow palette £45.
This is my first NYX product! Do you have any NYX products that you swear by? Let me know in the comments!
Love, Chelsea xxx

May 23, 2018 at 17:17Thanks! The brush is soooo easy to use. I spent so long going through mmmmitchel’s Instagram until I found a photo where he had tagged what product he used for the eyeliner! The matte makes it look so much more black… if that makes sense? Xxx

MY TOP 10 BEAUTY PRODUCTS UNDER £10 – CHELSEA'S GUIDE
February 3, 2019 at 21:35[…] As somebody who used to wear liquid eyeliner every single day I can safely say that the NYX Matte Liquid Liner is the best I have EVER used. It took me a little longer than usual to get the technique down, this liner was the first I had used where the applicator is a fine tipped brush rather than a felt tip nib. You definitely need a steady hand and I think its easier to apply when you’ve already done your mascara (and let it dry), but the effect you get once it dries down it well worth the effort. Super deep black with a matte finish – gorgeous. I wrote a full review on this eyeliner which you can read here. […]
